What can I expect during a consultation?

Consultations are done live, over Zoom. When you complete the booking with Calendly, you’ll receive an email that contains the meeting invite and the Zoom link. Going into the consultation, I will have prepared notes and discussion points for us to look at with your astrology chart, but the reading is more of a dialogue. The more information you provide about your circumstances, the more specifics we can get into. Astrology will tell me the general themes of your life at any given period, but the more details you offer about your experiences, the more we can zero into what will be/is activated.

All information shared with me in a consultation is confidential, but may be recorded with your consent, so you may have a copy of the reading later. I do not hold onto any other copies myself or share this information with anyone else. After the consultation you will receive a video copy of your reading as well as the PDF that includes important information discussed (if applicable).

How important is my birth time?

Your exact birthtime is important for all astrology readings as it ensures we have an accurately represented chart. If your birth time is an estimate, or relies on what your mother tells you, I highly recommend that you get another opinion or acquire your birth certificate. Not all birth certificates include the time of birth, but majority do now.

If you’re unable to acquire your birth certificate or accurate second-hand accounts of time, you may wish to look into chart rectification. This service will attempt to determine your rising sign without an exact time. I do not currently offer this service, but I highly recommend Patrick linked above.

What can astrology tell me?

Astrology describes the general energetic weather in a moment of a time. Most of my consultations use your birthchart, which describes who you are, your strengths, weaknesses, successes, and challenges throughout the course of your life. Your birthchart gives a general idea of your “fate” or luck in life, and the choices you tend to make throughout.

When we overlay your birthchart with the currently astrological sky, or the sky of a different period of time (known as a transit reading), we can generally understand what events are active in your life, what you’re going through, and what to expect during that time period.

Astrology cannot and should not be used to make any exact predictions, as there are always differing outcomes that we will consider throughout the reading. I cannot tell you when you will get married, fall in love, or when you will get your next job — but I can tell you periods of time that would be most conducive to that energy.

We won’t be able to know the exact events that will occur, but we will have a general idea of what that time period will feel like for you, what is likely to be active, and how to best work with the current astrological weather.

When is the best time to get a consultation?

You can request a reading anytime you feel called to do so! I do recommend for the Year Ahead Readings to do them around your birthday, as that is your natural/astrological start of your year.
