Pisces & Virgo Eclipses for Each Sign

September kicks off a full month of Eclipses, the first moment this year where we have Eclipses in both Virgo and Pisces that initiate major endings and beginnings in our life.

Eclipses were feared by the ancient astrologers as they were seen as a blockage of the natural light, and hidden information may suddenly come up that was otherwise obscured. These lunations bring to the surface sudden shifts of energy that often translate to major endings or beginnings in a certain area of our life.

Virgo is an earth sign that likes information, learning, organization, as well as healing through practical steps and gaining control on situations. Virgos will put their knowledge to use by being of service to others, or themselves, and they see their work as a way to spread care and love to the world. With the South Node in Virgo, we may’ve reached a point in our lives where we have engaged with too many tasks on our plate and we need to let go of some, but that also means letting go of the outcome and result as well.

Pisces sits opposite Virgo, and is a water sign that likes flow, emotional connections, intuitive feelings, and acting or responding to the general vibe of the collective. Pisces tends to look at the entire picture, not each detail, to get the general feel of the circumstances or situation. With the North Node in Pisces, there may be a part of ourselves that wishes to let go of each how, why, and detail, and instead embrace the feeling of falling into the unknown, while still knowing the greater forces at play will catch you safely.

This general energetic shift will occur in specific areas of your life, which we will explore below. These horoscopes are written for your Rising Sign, but you may also wish to read your Sun or Moon sign. To find your Rising sign, learn how to pull up your chart here.

PISCES & PISCES RISING

Your sense of self is being illuminated by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces occurring on September 7th. You’re becoming more aware about what it means to express yourself authentically, and to trust your inner nudges, intuition, and guidance even when it goes against the grain. Jupiter has been expanding your creative projects more with its journey in Cancer this year, and something about tapping into your childlike play and creations are fueling your inner discovery and confidence. Although our sense of self and identity is never permanent, you can trust the changes that are arising within you as the ones you need to embrace in this moment.

September 21st brings a New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Virgo, highlighting the energy with your partnerships and one-on-one relationships of all kinds. Whatever you have learned about yourself through the Pisces Eclipse needs to be applied to what you’re learning about relationships and how you interact with others. As this Eclipse is opposite Saturn, there may be a feeling of needing to initiate more boundaries to protect your energy and your time. You may also need to let go of trying to control or push relationships into a different direction. There’s an element of allowing people to show up in your life how they wish to, so that you can also show up authentically without anyone pushing you into a box. Evaluate what those boundaries may bring to your current and ongoing connections this Fall.

ARIES & ARIES RISING

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th illuminates your private time, inner world, and what it feels like to have a sympathetic mental space and place of retreat. Something about your dreams, or being alone, may be feeling a little more necessary at this time and it may encourage you to pull away from the external demands of the world and explore your internal landscape, needs, and feelings. Home life in particular may be feeling more supportive and sweeter lately with Jupiter moving through Cancer this year, and this may allow you to feel like you have a comforting place to rest and let your guard down. This Full Moon wishes to remind you that you don’t have to be fully “on” all the time – leisure is healing and necessary work too.

However, you’re still balancing the desire of rest and ease with work, and that will be especially loud during the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. You may be experiencing some changes within your work routines, work spaces, body health, and pet needs that are also draining or forcing you to manage your mental health better. With this Eclipse opposite Saturn, it may be extremely important to have strong boundaries around who and what you give your time to. Constantly caring for another, working, or dealing with body health issues can be important, but you also need to stay responsible to your inner healing and emotions as well.

TAURUS & TAURUS RISING

Community, friendships, and your presence in the surrounding environment are being highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. There may be a feeling of understanding more of where you belong in the community, what friendships are important to you, and what larger dreams are starting to shape in your life. Your day-to-day responsibilities and interactions in your local community have been expanding with Jupiter in Cancer this year, and those small momentary interactions may have you feeling more connected to the larger society as a whole. Even if the answers don’t feel concrete yet, there’s an element of faith and trusting that you’re moving in the right direction, and may be confirmed for you under this Eclipse.

The movement and changes occurring within your community and overarching dreams may also be sparking some of your creativity, or shifting your relationships with children, especially around the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. You may be feeling more pressure around your creative dreams, to release something or to grow a creative project with more intention. As this Eclipse sits opposite Saturn, there can be a push/pull against how you feel like you need to show up with friends and others, and how you want to show up through your own self-expression and play. Perhaps boundaries are needed around certain communities, or maybe this is where you push against the restrictions and know that the biggest creative avenues take the longest time, effort, and hard consistent work.

GEMINI & GEMINI RISING

Your career, work reputation, and overall public image is being highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. Some change or shift at work is reaching a peak moment of expression during this time, and it will involve you in some way, but potentially in a more positive light and image. This Full Moon is assisted by Jupiter in Cancer, who has been expanding your resources and feeling of stability, and potentially money this year. Whatever shift at your work will impact the resources you receive from that exchange, hopefully allowing you to feel more supported and stable. Sometimes this Eclipse may bring a literal role change or changing careers, so notice if that feels necessary for you at this time.

Home and family life, as well as your living environment, will be an important balancing point with yourself and especially around the second Eclipse and New Moon in Virgo on September 21st. Something that has shifted or been highlighted for you at work is impacting your inner world in some way, and there’s a potential need for stronger boundaries so you don’t feel like one is constantly crossing over into the other. You may be asked to get more organized with your home and family matters, or delegate some of the responsibilities, so you can focus on where your attention is needed at this time. Getting clean and clear on the home space can help you navigate bigger issues at work and in your external world.

CANCER & CANCER RISING

Your long-term plans, higher education goals, long distance travel dreams, and overall beliefs about life are all being highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. There’s some excitement about your future goals occurring now, whether it be literal plans to go back to school or make that long-term commitment, or just a new theology you’re learning – you’re feeling yourself expand with these dreams. And the Pisces Eclipse really wants you to dream big. Jupiter in Cancer this year has been expanding your sense of self, who you are, and how you wish to show up in the world. This self-exploration is crossing into your long-term goals and higher beliefs about life, and that will be made clear during this Eclipse.

While you may still be excited about all the possibilities for yourself, the day-to-day mundane rituals and routines are still important and will become more obvious under the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. To make your bigger dreams a reality, it starts with your daily actions. What you choose to engage with every day will bring you one step closer, or further, from your future ideals. This Eclipse will ask you to get more serious about your choices and what you take in during each day, as Saturn sits opposite this New Moon, reminding us our bigger dreams are often made up of small, annoying, but important tasks. Get clear on how you’re spending your energy, and if it’s aligning with your higher goals.

LEO & LEO RISING

Your collaborations, shared resources, and group projects or creative work you’ve been taking on with another is highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. You’re reaching some peak milestone with someone else, the work you’ve been generating together is finally nearing completion or awareness, and you can feel accomplished. Or if you have any outstanding loans, financial liabilities, or other debt, the Full Moon may help you clear it out or at least feel more confident about stability. Jupiter in Cancer has been expanding your alone and private time, helping you work through some mental blocks and bring you more self-awareness. Some of those shifts may be obvious or hidden, and you’ll start to sense the support you can get from your close partnerships during this Eclipse. Assistance comes in many forms, material, emotional, and physical – you can celebrate them all.

Your money and finances are still an important area of consideration and effort, especially during the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. You may be pulled to get more serious about the financial matters at play in your life, to analytically review and assess your income and finances in the midst of changing shared resources and collaborations. You may have to be more practical about what is possible for you. As the New Moon sits opposite Saturn, boundaries are important here. You can still contribute to larger goals and shared outcomes, but only when you feel financially secure and safe enough to do so.

VIRGO & VIRGO RISING

Your relationships and one-on-one interactions of all kinds are being highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. Something may be shifting within your partnerships, both romantic and platonic, that is feeling more expansive and supportive than usual. You may be realizing how you can rely on other people for help when you need it, or that your decisions around who you engage your time and energy with are becoming clearer. Jupiter in Cancer has been expanding your community presence and general friendships, and those relationships as well may be supporting your one-on-one connections. Use this Full Moon to celebrate the people you love in your life, and also honor how they’re bringing you more ease, gifts, or softness into your space when you need it.

Your sense of self is also changing rapidly this Eclipse season, and especially during the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. Although relationships are an important part of your life right now, who you are and how you show up for others is also equally important. As this Eclipse is opposite Saturn, it’s important to remind yourself of your personal boundaries that can get blurred during some intense relationships. Staying firm and true to who you are, and becoming clear on who that is, will be important now. Saturn may also remind you that long-lasting relationships take time and work, and if you’ve been neglecting any, there may be some pushes to get clear on who and how you want to spend your time.

LIBRA & LIBRA RISING

Your daily work routines, body health, and any places where you’re needed to be in service to another is highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. You may learn new information that helps you understand more deeply a health issue you’ve been working through, or you’re finding more flow and time in your daily task list that helps you trust the process, even if your work and attention is expanding. Jupiter in Cancer this year has been growing your presence in your career and public roles, broadening your opportunities and keeping you busy with your work. The Full Moon may highlight the results of it, and what your day-to-day life is looking like, and who’s needing your time for assistance.

While it can feel good to be in need and able to help others, you also have to remember your balance between caring for others and your own mental health. This will be louder around September 21st, where we have the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Virgo. Notice your self-talk lately, and if you’re picking yourself apart internally to meet all the external demands from others and your body. If something is feeling off in your mind, it may be worth exploring. This Eclipse sits opposite Saturn, reminding us of our boundaries and responsibilities that we have to maintain for our own health as well. Saying “no” and taking your time when you need it for yourself, is a radical act in the capitalistic world.

SCORPIO & SCORPIO RISING

Your creative projects, hobbies, and relationships with kids are being highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. This may bring the peak culmination of what creative or artistic ideas that have been brewing behind the scenes, and you may be getting closer to releasing them or sharing them with others. Or if you have kids, your relationship with them may be changing and this Eclipse will highlight that. Something that is happening here is aligning with your long-term goals and future direction, as Jupiter in Cancer has been expanding your mind and long distance horizons this year. You may be able to see the full picture of what these little creative or relationship efforts are building to, and it can feel exciting to know this future is unfolding for you.

The challenge comes between balancing your creative dreams against your outer community needs and interactions. Around September 21st, we have the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo that pulls your attention to the outer community, friendships, and how you interact with others online or in your communal spaces. You may be feeling pulled between focusing on your inner creative works and family against wanting to show up for friends, externally, and other relationships. As this New Moon sits opposite Saturn, you’re reminded that boundaries are needed in both spaces. Keeping to yourself all the time isn’t helpful, but neither is constantly showing up for other people and neglecting your dreams. A balance is needed.

SAGITTARIUS & SAGITTARIUS RISING

Home, family life, and your living environment are highlighted by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. Your internal world, private time, and relationship with your family will be louder and more important for you at this time, as everything going on at home and on your land is gaining awareness and attention from you. And it probably feels good to pull back from some of the external demands and focus on this area of your life. Jupiter in Cancer this year has been expanding more of your hidden spaces, your collaborations, and deeper thought patterns that are shaped by your interactions. Time at home and building your foundation will help you gain clarity on the bigger shifts you’re working through, and what support is needed from your immediate family.

Work and career still pose an important challenge and place of attention for you though, and especially during the New Moon Solar Eclipse on September 21st. While you may be preferring time at home, you will have to balance it with the responsibilities you hold within your career and other work commitments. You may be picking apart certain aspects of your work that no longer fit, and discarding them, or at least being more careful about who demands your time and attention. With Saturn opposite this New Moon, boundaries between both home and work are needed. It may be necessary to keep them more separate and distinct, especially if they feel like they’re spilling over into one another.

CAPRICORN & CAPRICORN RISING

Your daily rituals, routines, and practices you partake within the mundane life are highlighted by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. This may be a culmination of events, of realizing all the small changes you’ve been making in your life are adding up, and you’re able to see them just in the way you interact with the world, from the moment you wake up and go to sleep. You may be connecting more with folks in your daily life, including neighbors, distant relatives, or siblings that help you feel more supported. Jupiter in Cancer has been expanding your relationships of all kinds this year, and they’re spilling over into your daily life too. Lean into the ease and flow of your little rituals, connections, routines.

Your five-year dreams, goals, and visions for the future are still very active this month though, and especially during the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st. You may feel pulled to critically analyze and plan for your longer-term direction, whether it be going back to school or learning something new, traveling abroad, or changing your belief system to support your future dreams. It may get a little overwhelming at times, especially as this Eclipse sits opposite Saturn, you may feel like some of your larger dreams aren’t possible with the responsibilities you have in your daily life. The Eclipse may encourage you to release some, or at least make a commitment to yourself that you’ll make it happen, however long it takes.

AQUARIUS & AQUARIUS RISING

Your money, finances, and resources both material and not, are highlighted by this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7th. This is a peak moment and culmination of all the efforts you’ve been putting into your finances since last year, and you may be starting to see how your money has greatly expanded and blossomed with your attention. Spending money too, especially on the things you need or the people who are an important resource to you, may also be louder during this Eclipse. Jupiter in Cancer has been expanding your daily work routines and workload, and the efforts you’ve been putting into showing up for your obligations every day is now paying off, quite literally. Celebrate yourself and how you’ve learned to provide for yourself.

These Eclipses don’t just speak to your own finances, however, there are other people involved and other shared resources getting pulled into your life that may impact the money you make for yourself. On September 21st, we have the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo, pulling the awareness back to any contracts, agreements, loans, financing, or shared resources of all kinds. You may have to be critical and analytical on these agreements, working through the fine print and finding the details that have been missed. With the Eclipse opposite Saturn, it’ll be important for you to have stronger boundaries around finances, especially your own. If you’ve been helping out more or pushing your limits, maybe you need to step back and make sure clear restrictions are in place so you don’t feel like it’s a drain.
